What is the difference between vitamin C derivatives and

pure vitamin C (L-Ascorbic acid)?

Vitamin C derivatives, which is not pure vitamin C,

convert to L-Ascorbic acid  after getting absorbed into body.

It has lower absorption rate than pure vitamin C and hard to expect effect of actual vitamin C.
